CDISC Glossary v21.0

CDISC Glossary v21.0 contains 45 new terms, 38 changes to existing content, including many new, or changes to, existing “clusters” of related terms that, when their definitions are read together, help sharpen the semantic distinctions and optimize effective communication. Glossary v21.0 can also be found in Excel, text, odm.xml, pdf, html, and OWL/RDF formats, along with CDISC Terminology Changes files on the NCI-EVS website with file date 2026-09-25. New authoritative sources are referenced within glossary definitions and 13 new sources were added to the References tab this year. 5 new and 1 change to an existing Acronyms, Abbreviations & Initials (AAI) were added into Glossary v21.0. The CDISC Glossary is NOT comprehensive for all words bearing on human health, medicine, or laboratory methods. Please refer to other CDISC Controlled Terminology products for specific technical terms.

Errata

An erratum (plural: errata) is a correction to a mistake made in a published standard, which was identified after it was published on the CDISC website, and which would have been corrected in the current version had it been identified prior to publication. Updates, revisions, substantive corrections, and other changes of enough significance to require a cycle through the Standards Development Process are not errata, and thus are not included on the pages below.
